Arden Treviño

Director of Shared Practice and Business Manager

Arden Treviño is the director of Shared Practice and business manager for the National Institute for Technology in Liberal Education (NITLE). Before joining NITLE, Mrs. Treviño was senior secretary for library projects and services in the A. Frank Smith, Jr. Library Center on the Southwestern University campus. Southwestern, where NITLE is headquartered, is an undergraduate-only, residential liberal arts university located in Georgetown, Texas.

Previously, Mrs. Treviño served as chief financial officer for Basic Construction Company, a privately held construction company in Houston, Texas, whose main focus was commercial construction and sewage treatment plants. At Basic, she provide financial services and investment advice while the company was liquidated. She has also worked in Austin, Texas, for the lobbying firm of GL “Lynn” Tate and Pat Cole during the Texas Legislative sessions. 

Mrs. Treviño is a long-standing member of the board of directors of the Palace Theatre, Inc., a non profit-organization dedicated to preserving the historic Palace Theatre in Georgetown and providing live community theater to Georgetown and the surrounding area. She has served as its treasurer and secretary, and has chaired various of its committees. Currently, she serves as the organization’s grants coordinator, and also volunteers her talent on the Palace stage.

Mrs. Treviño volunteers with many local service organizations that work to benefit the Georgetown area: San Gabriel Kiwanis, Sertoma, Georgetown High School tennis booster club, and the Academic Excellence Parent committee, formed to honor academic achievements of Georgetown high school students on an annual basis. 

Mrs. Treviño holds a B.A. with high honors in fine arts (Texas State University-San Marcos) and an M.B.A. from the University of St. Thomas.
