Online Exam & Assessment Tools in Teaching Language

April 15, 4:00pm - 5:15pm

For faculty and academic support staff involved in the teaching of languages. (Time EDT)

Delivered online in our virtual auditorium

In this session, Andrew Wallis, Associate Professor of French at Whittier College, will lead a discussion of online assessment tools for language teaching, including opportunities and obstacles. Colleagues will share their expertise and experiences with assessment tools that are readily available or which can be developed for use online, especially those that can be embedded into course management systems such as Moodle. They will also discuss their experiences with each, and the standards by which the efficacy of each might be judged as a vehicle for assessing student learning.
