Uniquely attuned to liberal arts colleges’ needs and cultures, NITLE provides a consulting program focused on helping campuses use technology strategically to advance inquiry, pedagogy, and the liberal arts mission. Key consultants are also available to speak on a range of topics related to the integration of inquiry, technology, and pedagogy at liberal arts colleges.

  • CIO Leadership Program
    Despite the role’s importance in higher education, few supports are available for chief information officers. Through its CIO Leadership Program, NITLE offers coaching and professional development for new and experienced CIOs at liberal arts colleges and universities, who are charged with helping their campuses use technology strategically to advance the liberal arts mission. The CIO Leadership Program addresses topics relevant to the CIO role from daily operations through strategic planning, and provides CIOs in liberal education with pathways for professional development.
  • Futures and Scenario Modeling
    At a time of rapid, systemic change, liberal arts campuses must plan strategically for institutional success and sustainability in the future. They must also prepare students—today’s and tomorrow’s—to succeed in that open-ended future. We help campuses develop strategies for envisioning and comprehending possibilities that have not yet happened. Then, we help them assess their current situations, strategize and make concrete plans with regard to information technology, understand the tools and solutions available now, and answer specific questions of concern.
