Technology Fellows - DSpace and Developing Institutional Repositories

Many campuses within the NITLE Network have adopted DSpace as an institutional repository (IR) solution, and the community is actively using and exploring IR services within campus academic and scholarly programs. This fellowship gives the NITLE Fellow an opportunity to work with NITLE staff to communicate with the DSpace community, design curricula, prepare outreach materials, and instruct other NITLE participants in how to make use of digital repositories using the DSpace technology.

The Fellow will deliver training to the community via either face-to-face workshops or online environments. The Fellow would also help the community stay aware of current developments in best practices for institutional repository development and in the use of the DSpace software.

Applicants are expected to have a strong understanding of the DSpace technology, including administrative and end-user processes. (The ability to install or configure DSpace as a system administrator is NOT required). Some experience in education and training is also required. NITLE will also provide additional training.
