Technology Fellows - Sakai and Open Source Portfolio

NITLE seeks an individual with Sakai experience and the desire to learn about the Open Source Portfolio extensions to Sakai for a Technology Fellowship for the Sakai Learning Management System. This person would take a leading role with NITLE education initiatives relating to Sakai and OSP; specifically this person would assist NITLE and the community of NITLE participating campuses in areas such as:

• designing and delivering training to campuses on Sakai
• helping to develop a curriculum on the use of E-portfolios and OSP
• coordinating the sharing of training resources or other useful information across the community (via workshops or other formats) in order to help campuses successfully integrate Sakai into campus academic services
• learning about key Sakai tips and tricks, and serving as a resource to others in the community on such questions
• keeping updated on best practices in Sakai use in academic contexts

Applicants are expected to have previous experience training faculty and others, and to have strong proficiency with Sakai as a user. This individual would not be expected to have experience installing Sakai or managing Sakai from a back-end perspective.
