All institutions participating in the NITLE Network receive the Moodle Basic Service as part of their Network participation. Moodle Basic Service offers access for up to 100 users and 10 courses within a shared, hosted instance of Moodle and also includes all server and application maintenance operations. To enroll in the Moodle Basic Service, the participating college's campus liaison should fill out and submit the online enrollment form.
Participating colleges can select from five levels of campus service, which provides access for up to 250, 500, 1000, 1500, or 2000 users within a standardized, hosted instance of Moodle dedicated strictly to the enrolled campus. Service includes 1 GB storage per 100 users. Standard updates and other service changes occur on a pre-determined schedule. The campus service includes all server and application maintenance operations. To enroll in the Moodle Campus Service, the participating college's campus liaison should fill out and submit the online enrollment form.

Participating colleges also have the option of enrolling in the premium service, which provides access for up to 5000 users within a customizable, hosted instance of Moodle dedicated strictly to the enrolled campus. The premium service also includes all server and application maintenance operations. The enrolled campus fully controls configuration and other aspects of the application; a set-up fee for custom configuration applies. Customization and code changes are available via consultation with NITLE. To enroll in the Moodle Premium Service, the participating college's campus liaison should fill out and submit the online enrollment form.

Two authentication options are also available to institutions enrolled in NITLE's Moodle Services:

runs user authentication out of the local LDAP directory, allowing Moodle access via campus-based authorization credentials |

runs user authentication with Shibboleth, protecting user privacy by containing the authentication process entirely within the campus's local authorization system |

Any NITLE participating college may use our technical consultation services to address its Moodle-related issues, regardless of whether it is enrolled in NITLE's Moodle Services. Campuses can use these consulting services for projects involving the transfer of legacy data, research, and general problem-solving. Consultation on custom coding is available to Premium Service enrollees only.
