Jennifer plans and administers professional and faculty development programs on technology and its use for supporting the educational goals of liberal arts colleges.
Jennifer graduated in December 2008 with a doctoral degree in higher education administration from Bowling Green State University. Her dissertation research focused on the experiences of women graduate students in computer science. Her undergraduate and master’s degrees, also from BGSU, were in English and creative writing. Jennifer worked for three years as a general studies writing instructor, and has taught in traditional classrooms, in computer-mediated environments, and online. Most of her career was spent in information technology roles in the higher education environment. She has experience in technical support, email systems administration, and training.
Jennifer commutes to the Ann Arbor office from Sylvania, Ohio. Her husband, Jesse Squire, a math teacher at Roy C. Start High School in Toledo, Ohio. Their two cats, Bean and Mokey, occasionally try to eat her computer equipment. When she is not listening to audiobooks in her car, she enjoys running, swimming, and practicing yoga.
