NITLE invites independent not-for-profit colleges and universities to participate in the NITLE Network, a virtual network supporting collaboration and innovation across professions, disciplines, and institutions. The Network enables participating institutions to share their knowledge, skills, and experiences, working together to advance independent higher education through the effective use of digital technologies.
Descriptions of the NITLE related resources and projects.
Transformations is an online series of occasional papers exploring the intersection of digital technologies and the liberal arts. We address a variety of topics with an eye on emergent practices, examining projects from the reaches of cyberspace to the liberal arts campus: social software, spatial learning, digital images, gaming, and more. Our program calendar offers a wide variety of professional development events for faculty and staff at independent, non-profit colleges and universities. Participating colleges can also use our Workshops-to-Go to plan professional development activities on their campuses. Workshop-to-Go topics are continuously refreshed and expanded so that participants can proactively adapt to technological change.

NITLE's managed technology services offer promising approaches to supporting teaching, learning, and organizational effectiveness at undergraduate-centered colleges and universities. A key element in the development of these services and projects is the user community meeting, which enables participating campuses to build peer-to-peer networks for collaboration, information exchange, and shared learning, and to synchronize their efforts to use technology to promote a shared educational mission. Information about all of our user community meetings can be found in our program calendar.
