Minneapolis, MN
For technologists and financial/business officers from participating colleges interested in learning about the Kuali Financial Systems (KFS) software and discussing the future of KFS as a solution for smaller, independent colleges. Campuses will benefit from sending teams of two comprised of one representative of the finance/business office and one IT person. (5 program units. Registration deadline: Friday, August 15, 2008)
Participants should have experience with campus-specific financial systems. No knowledge of KFS is assumed.
Meeting participants will have the opportunity to learn about the KFS software and to foster meaningful community discussions on the future of KFS as a solution for smaller, independent colleges. Participants will compare and benchmark financial system practices with peer institutions and learn more about the Kuali Financial initiative. Information about the current state of KFS and its use in smaller colleges will be provided. This meeting will focus on the functional practicality and capability of the core elements that are fundamental to the majority of campuses, and core modules from the KFS software will be demonstrated and discussed.
Participants will leave this workshop prepared to engage in meaningful conversations with campus business officers and/or deans to explain the feasibility of using KFS and to demonstrate some core functionality.
Interested faculty and staff from participating colleges: To register yourself or a colleague for this program, please send an e-mail with the program's title and registrant's name, job title, and e-mail address to participate <at> nitle <dot> org.
