Sakai User Community Meeting - Sakai User Community Meeting: Call for proposals

NITLE is seeking librarians, technologists, and faculty from participating colleges who are interested in maintaining and enhancing a working Sakai community, fostering innovation, and supporting implementation to submit proposals.

Presenters will have the opportunity to engage with other experts and practitioners in this area at the Sakai User Community Meeting, June 11 - 12, at the University of Puget Sound (Tacoma, WA). Participants will have opportunities for direct interaction and group discussion. This meeting coincides with the Moodle and DSpace User Community Meetings. Please note that these are only a few examples of possible topics. This community enjoys experiential learning, unique formats that invite interaction, and ideas that stretch the imagination.

Poster topics

We are looking for three poster presentations for the open source community reception Wednesday evening. Successfully adopted Sakai tools, campus initiatives and pedagogical projects would be excellent sources for these presentations.

Who may submit proposals?

Faculty or staff members at NITLE participating colleges are invited to submit proposals for poster and/or session presentations online. Please note that presenters are not counted against their campuses' two-person participation limit for this event.

Faculty and staff from participating colleges who know individuals from non-participating institutions that could potentially be strong presenters should contact Karen Lee Davis.

Proposal Deadline

Proposal submissions are due on Friday, March 28, 2008. Please use the online enrollment form to submit your proposal(s).

Attendance Info

Interested faculty and staff are also encouraged to attend this event as non-presenting participants. For more information about how to participate, please review our full calendar entry for this Sakai User Community Meeting in June. The deadline for nominations is March 3, 2008.
